‘Justified’ Actress Joelle Carter Joins Lionsgate’s ‘Jessabelle

Joelle Carter, a lead on FX’s Justified, has joined the cast of the Lionsgate horror film Jessabelle.
Jessabelle stars Sarah Snook and Mark Webber; it is being directed by Kevin Greutert, director of Saw 3D and Saw VI.

BEGINNERS wins Academy Award!

Christopher Plummer, nominated for best supporting actor in 2010, received a standing ovation as he won the award at the 2012 Oscars for his role in Beginners.
Beginners, directed by Mike Mills, was shot on the RED ONE MX camera by cinematographer Kasper Tuxen.

This is the first film Offhollywood was worked on to win a Academy Award. Previously Academy Nominated projects the company worked on are Margin Call and Frozen River.
Independent Spirit Awards: ‘Margin Call’ A Double Winner

It was a good night for the cast and crew of Margin Call, with a double win at the Independent Spirit Awards.
A drama based in an investment bank over a 24-hour period of crisis, the film boasts an all-star cast, including Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons, Terence Howard, Paul Bethany, Simon Baker and Demi Moore.
The film’s director and writer J.C. Chandor told HuffPostUK that, while the Robert Altman award was no surprise, having been announced previously in December, winning the award for Best First Feature as well had come as a complete shock.”

Still a work-in-progress – but I I’ve got Twitter integration and sub-categories for NEWS, APPS, GEAR, R3D, PLAYERS, BIZ and OT.
So, I can just post pretty much anything and tag it to the appropriate category – keeping NEWS to updates on projects the company has supported. There are RSS feeds for each subcategory.
I think this new format and the Twitter functionality will lend to me posting much more.

4:44 LAST DAY ON EARTH will premiere at the 68th Venice International Film Festival
How would we spend our final hours on Earth? And what does how we choose to die say about how we have chosen to live? In the hands of the inimitable Abel Ferrara, this thought experiment takes on a visceral immediacy. With the planet on the verge of extinction, a New York couple (Willem Dafoe and Shanyn Leigh) cycle through moments of anxiety, ecstacy, and torpor. As they sink into the havens of sex and art, and Skype last goodbyes in a Lower East Side apartment filled with screens bearing tidings of doom and salvation, the film becomes one of Ferrara’s most potent and intimate expressions of spiritual crisis. An apocalyptic trance film, 4:44 is also a mournful valentine to Ferrara’s beloved New York: the director’s first fiction feature to be filmed entirely in the city in over a decade, a haunting vision of doom in the lower Manhattan skyline.
